Edition · Our story

Moroccan art, shaped by hand and passed through time

Make Moroccan craftsmanship a gateway to the product, culture, territory, experience, and the economic development of artisans.

Mission

Who we are

Our commitment to artisans

At YEDART, we have chosen to build a different relationship with the artisans and cooperatives we work with.

Our approach rests on a simple principle: respecting the value that artisans themselves place on their work. For each selected piece, we ask them the price they usually charge the general public in Morocco. That price is our starting point.

Our model is therefore not based on seeking the lowest purchase price, but on creating value around craftsmanship: selection, storytelling, photography, international distribution, customer experience, and access to new markets.

Thus, as YEDART grows, we want those at the origin of the pieces to benefit from that growth as well.

Our relationship with artisans therefore does not end with buying and selling. We also work alongside them on promoting their creations, storytelling, quality, pricing, product presentation and, progressively, their access to professional and international markets.

Preserving craftsmanship does not only mean telling its story. It also means enabling those who keep it alive to draw lasting value from it.

This is the conviction that guides YEDART: building a model in which heritage, creation, commerce, and human development advance together.

Our story

Another way to create value

Through our encounters in the field, one evidence became clear: behind every rug, every embroidery, every carved or woven object, there is far more than a product. There is time, transmission, a family history, a territory, and sometimes several generations of craftsmanship.

YEDART was born from this desire to bring these creators closer to new audiences without erasing their identity or reducing their work to mere merchandise.

Our ambition is simple: to let Moroccan craftsmanship shine while remaining faithful to those who keep it alive.

With the artisans

How we work with artisans

We ask every artisan for the price at which they usually sell their piece, and we do not negotiate it down. A deposit is paid when ordering, with the balance paid upon delivery of the piece.

YEDART Create value, share it, and pass it on.

  • Woven and carved by hand

No catalogue piece is mass-produced. Every rug, textile and wooden object comes from an identified workshop, named on its product page.

  • The artisan sets the price

We ask every artisan for the price at which they usually sell their piece, and we do not negotiate it down. A deposit is paid when ordering, with the balance paid upon delivery of the piece.

  • Sheep’s wool and Middle Atlas cedar

Hand-spun or hand-carded wool for rugs and textiles, Atlas cedar for wooden pieces. The workshop and production area are listed on every product page.

  • Amazigh craftsmanship of the Middle Atlas

Weaving, cedar carving and embroidery passed down in the workshops and cooperatives of Azrou, Aïn Leuh, El Hajeb and Zerarda.

Authenticity is not proclaimed; it is recognized in the hand that shapes, the eye that chooses, the time that passes.
