Chapter II · Faces of craft

Masters & keepers of the gesture

To meet the artisans is to meet those who transmit. Three generations in a workshop, fingers that remember, a material that yields.

Meet all the artisans
Each piece bears the imprint of a hand, a workshop, a transmission. It does not merely dress a space: it carries a story forward.

Chapter III · Crafts

Four gestures, four materials

Ancestral techniques kept alive by our master artisans — a workshop, a material, a long time, a true gesture.

Berber rugs — Natural wools, tight knots and ancestral symbols. The weavers of the Middle Atlas inscribe a family story into the warp, passed down for generations, with densities and reliefs unique to each tribe.

Berber rugs

Natural wools, tight knots and ancestral symbols. The weavers of the Middle Atlas inscribe a family story into the warp, passed down for generations, with densities and reliefs unique to each tribe.

Each rug is an intimate map: motifs of protection, memory of the village, plant dyes. Choosing a Berber rug is inviting a unique work into the home, woven slowly, far from industrial lines.

The pieces we highlight favour hand-carded or hand-spun wool, clean or fringed borders according to local tradition, and sizes suited to living rooms and bedrooms. A well-laid rug — on discreet felt or directly on the floor — reveals its colour over years, as light and time refine the patina.

Carved wood — Marquetry and cedar carved by master cabinetmakers. Species are chosen for their grain; patina comes with time, never the machine: the wood stays alive, breathes, and keeps working long after delivery.

Carved wood

Marquetry and cedar carved by master cabinetmakers. Species are chosen for their grain; patina comes with time, never the machine: the wood stays alive, breathes, and keeps working long after delivery.

Doors, chests and decorative panels often carry arabesques cut with a burin. The wood answers to the touch: warm in winter, noble on the surface, always tied to a local sawing and drying chain.

We favour mortise-and-tenon joints, discreet copper-metal inlays and hand-waxed surfaces for a satin finish. In a minimal or neo-Moorish interior, these pieces become quiet signatures: a single carved panel can structure an entire room.

Leather & textile — Plant patinas and luminous weaves of the Atlas. Tanners work hides like precious paper; seamstresses assemble as one binds a book: cut, lining, linen or strong cotton thread according to use.

Leather & textile

Plant patinas and luminous weaves of the Atlas. Tanners work hides like precious paper; seamstresses assemble as one binds a book: cut, lining, linen or strong cotton thread according to use.

From bag to cushion, apron to light curtain, these materials accompany daily life with elegance. Finishes — topstitching, discreet rivets, clean hems — tell as much as the form: a craft made to last.

Berber or embroidered textiles readily converse with full-grain leather: graphic cushions, custom benches, travel accessories. We ensure each hue and grain of hide stays coherent with everyday use without sacrificing the artisanal character.

Carved zellige — Fine cuts and deep glazes from the workshops of Fez. Each tessera is hand-cut, laid to a drawing that admits no approximate join: the gesture sets the rhythm, the colour and the final geometry.

Gesture IV

Carved zellige

Fine cuts and deep glazes from the workshops of Fez. Each tessera is hand-cut, laid to a drawing that admits no approximate join: the gesture sets the rhythm, the colour and the final geometry.

One reads the patience of the gesture: geometry, contrast of glazes, and that slight irregularity that proves the hand. On a wall or a floor, zellige lives with daylight and welcomes the eye without tiring it.

At YEDART we favour sober or iconic palettes, modular formats and finishes that respect contemporary architecture while keeping the soul of historic workshops. Each project can rely on samples and guidance for motifs and joints.

Chapter IV · Curated collections

Fragments of History

Between mountains, natural materials and inherited gestures, the Middle Atlas inspires a collection where each creation tells Morocco with elegance. YEDART reveals its beauty through singular pieces, chosen for their soul, character and justness.

Craft is not a style. It is a way of holding the gesture, of respecting the material, of letting time do its work.
